I love this "succulent" which I photographed at the Kingwood Center in Mansfield, Ohio. They have several greenhouses, each with different temperate zones. This is from the desert greenhouse and is called a succulent.
I try to get to the Kingwood every month or so, because the plants are creating and growing and doing their daily work... so I like to visit and be surprised by what is new that they have created.
The sun is softened by the cloudy windows, but the sun still creates shadows and adds a third dimention. The black background is slow and tedious work, but it removes distrations and lets the succulent burst onto the "stage."
